How are you?

Hellooooo there! (I was going to type this in French but I’m still attending classes so till I can speak it fluently… LOL)

This morning at about 8:40am, on my way to work, I asked a question on my Whatsapp status. It was a very short and simple question, probably the cliche and most overlooked question.

Most people do not really take time to think deeply about this question before answering it. I’m guilty as charged and I’m sure you are too.

In the end, I was very happy I asked that question because of the responses I got. People needed to be asked that question. I’d share some of the responses!

Take time out today and send a message to your friends. Ask them this same question. Get their responses and leave them a few encouraging words. You just don’t know whose day you would make.

You tell me. HOW ARE YOU?

I have a confession LOL. This blog post should have been up since morning but somehow because of work and more workkk, it is just coming uppp!

Time is 6:28pm in Lagos, Nigeria.

Currently watching: Vlogs of my favorite Nigerian youtubers _ Dimma Umeh and Ronke Raji. Gosh! I love these women. They are so proud of their originality and I like how much it exudes in each vlog. You should totally check them out. If you have any YouTubers you’d like me to check out as well, let me knowww!

So I watched this particular vlog and many others.
Isn’t she soo “prettaayyy?”

Okayyy! I’ve gotta run now. Thank you so much for readinggg. As always, leave me something “sweeth” in the comment section. Also, if you have any idea(s) of topics you’d love me to blog on, do well to shareeee!

“Always remember I love you but God loves you endlessly, overwhelmingly and recklessly.”

Hugs and “kilzes,

Wonder What?

Heyy! Thank youuu for all the ‘sweeth’ comments and excess love on my last post and stopping by again *inserts wide grin*

I’m at work already. I got in a bit early today so I’m feeling kinda pumped (please that meins excited. I don’t know where I learn all these funny, new words from *inserts shaking head emoji*). How are you feeling?

Look who’s backkk!

Of course, I am deeply sorry for going AWOL but boy does it feel extremely good to be back on here pouring my heart out!

It feels amazing actually! I used to visit once in a while and even refer some of the posts on here to friends but I never brought myself to writing anything and I’m sorry.

About today’s post: I’d be sharing everything that happened while I was away at the same time trying really hard to make it a short one (still me: Yimu)

New Year, New You?

Hey everyone,

I don’t think it is too late to say Happy New Year!! May this year be wonderful to us. May it be our best year yet!

I hope you enjoyed your holidays and gave gifts to loved ones and even the less privileged. I had an amazing holiday and I got the best gifts! Can you guess what?

What are your new year resolutions? If you don’t have any, check here for why you should. As for me, this year I’ve promised myself to get better, be better and do better. There’s always room for improvement.

You did some things in the previous year that you regret? Do better!

The year can only and truly be new when you strive to be different. Do things differently. If it means you dropping some people off or changing your career path and chasing your dreams, then do it!

PS: Harmattan is here! The weather is dry and dusty and everyone is catching the flu. Here’s a few tips to keep you safe from the harsh weather.

  • Moisturize your skin properly.
  • Stay hydrated! Drink lots and lots and lots of water.
  • Apply lip balm. This is so that you don’t have dry and cracked lips.
  • Take Vitamin C.
  • Wear warm clothes.
  • Wipe dusty surfaces and maintain personal hygiene.
  • Cover your nose/mouth when you sneeze.

Stay healthy, eat well and be good.

Till my next post,

Hugs and ‘kilzes’

Dear 2018: Positive Vibes Only!

Hey everyone!

I’m not sure if it’s too late to ask this but…How did your weekend go? Great? That’s what’s up! Not great? It could have been worse. I had an amazing weekend, attended a wedding, my church had a Christmas concert and I attended another Christmas concert, a theatrical carol actually. It was amazing!

Guyssss, I’ve seen the finale of Skinny Girl In Transit season 4. Sigh. Love is sweet oh lol. Don’t allow anybody tell you otherwise (I should actually be telling myself that but anyways…). Please watch the finale if you haven’t.

Enough gist already…

2017 is on its way out. It was a good year, had a few life experiences that taught me deep lessons. However, I’m glad the year is ending well. 2018 is going to be a good year, I can tell. I feel it in my heart, soul, mind, spirit lol. Basically, I know it’s going to be an amazing year which is why I’m writing to it or better still, I’m writing to myself in 2018 (not sure if that makes any sense as well but you get my point, yeah?)

Chit Chat: Skinny Girl in Transit (SGIT)

Hey you!

How’s your Monday going? So, I woke up this morning and in my head I’m like:

My day is going pretty well though but I can’t tell what it is about Mondays that most people dread, can you? Maybe, one reason is how fast the weekend goes (in a twinkle of an eye, fam lol)

Anyways, that’s not what my blog post is on. There’s a very interesting Nigerian TV show I’ve come to really love and enjoy. It’s called ‘Skinny girl in Transit’ by Ndani TV. It’s such a lovely story and very relatable too (for someone who isn’t a fan of series/seasonal shows). SGIT is in season 4 now and I can’t get enough of it.

The Experience: Memoirs of a first timer.

Hi everyone!

Welcome to December! May you and all yours have joy at last this month. I’m so thankful to God for keeping us all alive and well to see the last month in 2017. What a year it has been. Whew!

Can you tell how excited I am for Christmas? Well, I am ūüôā . Read my last post on Christmas here.

I had an amazing weekend. I attended The Experience for the first time last Friday. For those who don’t already know, The Experience is an interdenominational (wow!such a long word lol) gospel music concert held in Lagos, Nigeria annually. It is organized by House on The Rock church. This year’s, which was its 12th edition was themed ‘Jesus Our King’ and had powerful ministrations from local and international gospel artistes such as Chioma Jesus, Don Moen, Frank Edwards, Tope Alabi, Tim Godfrey, Eben, Travis Greene, Sonnie Badu, Nathaniel Bassey, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Chevelle Franklyn, Midnight Crew, Onos Ariyo, Beejay Sax, Micah Stampley.

As a first timer, I had high expectations and honestly, they were met. Even exceeded.  Continue reading

Look who’s back!

Blog post

Heyyyy everyone! Yess, it’s me. And, I’M BACKKKKK!!!

I honestly must apologize for being MIA (missing in action) for so long. I thought I could handle school, work and blogging at the same time. But hey, I’m back! Thank you to everyone who showed love and concern, I’m here now.

A big hug to those who recently followed my blog, liked my posts and commented. I’m sorry there haven’t been any updates. I’m here now.

This post is going to be really short because it’s a welcome back post lol. Subsequently, I’ll be sharing things and pictures too of events that have happened in my life. Trust me, so many things have happened! #Anticipate

Write the vision!

Hey lovelies,

I hope that your holidays were lit and so many good things happened. Anybody that knows me well knows¬†I¬†absolutely lovee¬†the holiday season, especially Christmas. So you trust that it was awesome. I’m sorry that I was away for what seemed like forever to me, I needed stronger motivation and more inspiration. Guess what? We got this! LOL

Fast forward to what I’m sharing with you today… Few days ago, I had a conversation with my friend and he told me he was conscious of the speed at which the year is ageing already. I asked why and he said it just reminds him of things he planned to do in 2016 and did not achieve. Many of us are wearing the same shoes as my friend I suppose and are so conscious of how fast the year is ageing already we don’t even know how to go about achieving our set goals. While some of us also have made New Year Resolutions, we’re so overwhelmed as to how we’d go about achieving them. Continue reading
