Chit Chat: Skinny Girl in Transit (SGIT)

How’s your Monday going? So, I woke up this morning and in my head I’m like:

My day is going pretty well though but I can’t tell what it is about Mondays that most people dread, can you? Maybe, one reason is how fast the weekend goes (in a twinkle of an eye, fam lol)

Anyways, that’s not what my blog post is on. There’s a very interesting Nigerian TV show I’ve come to really love and enjoy. It’s called ‘Skinny girl in Transit’ by Ndani TV. It’s such a lovely story and very relatable too (for someone who isn’t a fan of series/seasonal shows). SGIT is in season 4 now and I can’t get enough of it.

For those who don’t know about SGIT, it’s about a plus-sized lady in her thirties, Tiwalade, a radio OAP searching for love. She’s had really bad experiences with guys because of her size so she’s on a journey that involves losing weight and discovering herself so she can find ”Mr. Right.” She has a younger sister, Shalewa, who’s really hot and her mum who’s on her neck to get married ASAP lol. How can I forget?! Her friend, Didi, who has a funny personality. She likes ‘‘amebo” (means gossip) too lol.

She gets into a relationship with her boss, Mide, (after plenty wahala and shakara). Mide absolutely loves her the way she is (does that remind of Bruno Mars’ -Just the way you are song? lol). As I was saying, he always spoils her silly with gifts, romantic dates. sigh, God ‘plix’ provide a boo. 😀

The last episode I watched  had me in my elements. Sigh, it was heartbreaking. I won’t tell you the events that happened till you see for yourself haha :p . Okay, okay, let me give you a clue.

Tiwa has hurt Mide, badly. There’s nothing ‘Wooli’ (means prophet in Yoruba) can even do about this case. It’s very critical. I had tears in my eyes after I watched episode 11. I hope Tiwa can fix things up.

I feel for Tiwa but at the same time, I don’t. She brought this on herself. Imagine after you’ve worked so hard and gone through a lot to get something and you just throw it away because of what? Ego? Selfishness? I don’t get it! But I hope Tiwa can fix things up.
